The July/August Issue

The July/August issue is on newsstands now! It's a good issue filled with ideas for summer entertaining and exploring. Below is an outline of the stories in the issue.
The cover is nicely styled and I like the use of the bold yellow masthead and titles. On closer inspection, you can see that the newspapers used in the basket have headlines pertaining to fishing and the sea: a nice touch!
The cover story is all about frying fish for casual get-togethers during the summer months: the end-of-week fish fry.
A fried fish burger? Yes please! (That blondie ice-cream cake looks pretty darn good, too!)
A great story on wicker, sisal, rattan and other woven grasses used in interior decorating schemes is perfect for summer. The cool, casual elegance of woven baskets, screens and furniture is a nice addition to the roster of stories.
Tomatoes and summer go hand-in-hand! The editors have come up with several mouth-watering tomato salads to keep you sated all summer long!
The owner of a lakefront property in northern Connecticut sought to landscape her plot using only native plants. The result is a restful oasis filled with indigenous species that reinforce the feelings of home.
